The walking wounded

As most of the hospitals in Port-au-Prince were destroyed, makeshift open-air hospitals were set up. Even still, the injured patients still have little or no access to medical supplies like painkillers or antibiotics. To make matters worse, many of the hospital staff were killed during the earthquake and the threadbare temporary hospitals quickly became overwhelmed.
