Alex picked up the Celebrity Big Brother crown... who would have guessed it? Well, everybody in the last few days but go back four weeks and the idea of Jordan’s current squeeze making it to the final week, let alone winning the thing, looked less likely than me flying to the moon with Brad Pitt.

What a remarkable turnaround though. Alex ‘Rocky’ Reid went from zero to hero in a matter of weeks while his ‘coach’ Vinnie went in the opposite direction.

“There must have been something printed in the papers,” said Vinnie when he heard the boos after his name. No Vinnie, you’ve just acted like a twat. Then again, he didn’t receive a single nomination in the house so he couldn’t have been that bad.

It can’t be easy losing to two people who are mainly famous for simply going out with Jordan.  He tried to hide his annoyance but it was clearly there.

The highlights shown didn’t do him any favours either.  First he made fun of Dane for owning a jacket from Next. Wonder what he would think of my Primark/New Look wardrobe?! He then told Rocky:  "I could leave half a million votes in the ashtray of my Range Rover and still beat you". Cue hundreds of people reaching for their phone and voting for Alex again.

Stephanie and Jonas didn’t really stand a chance of winning. Neither of them did anything wrong, they were both quite entertaining actually, but neither of them made a big enough impact to have people reaching for the phone.

During his interview, Jonas told Kat it was too late, he was moving on. “Too late babe,” he smiled. If only he’d done that in the house when she was teasing him constantly. He might have done better than frourth. Kat looked embarrassed. There goes the ok! Magazine photo shoot.

Alex was the most worthy winner, except the tree of course. Some people might claim that he it’s the second time a non celebrity has won Celebrity Big Brother but what he achieved in that house shouldn’t be dismissed. Everybody laughed when he went in claiming he would turn the boos into cheers. But he did just that.

Dane did well too, he should expect a call from the people at celebrity master chef any day now...

This has been one of, or even the, funniest Celebrity Big Brothers ever.  It’s a shame it is no more. Where else can you see a cage fighter, a singer, a film star and a DJ running round a house dressed as a hen,  a goat, a horse and a pig?

Ah Big Brother we’ll miss you.
